Dietitian
Annemarie Aburrow RD BSc (Hons) PGDip SENr
Annemarie qualified as a Dietitian in 2005, after obtaining a first-class degree in Physiology, followed by a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics. After qualifying, Annemarie worked in the NHS for 8 years in a variety of roles including care of the elderly, surgery, critical care, stroke rehabilitation and mental health. In 2013, she set her private practice (Expert Dietitian). Annemarie's approach is to offer clear, understandable, realistic and holistic advice to support her clients to tackle their nutritional issues and achieve their goals. There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to nutrition, so she is skilled to work her clients to put together a bespoke, individualised action plan, which takes into account specific requirements, activity, lifestyle and motivation. She is also a qualified Sports Dietitian (registered with the SENR) and has experience of working with athletes from a variety of sports.

Annemarie is a mum to 4 little and no-so-little ones (oldest is college-aged and youngest is in nappies!) and you will often find her running the streets of Southampton, or at Park Run on Saturday mornings. In 2016, she was diagnosed with diabetes, and has managed to keep this well controlled through good nutrition, exercise, determination and sprinkles of insulin. As a result, Annemarie knows first-hand what it's like to live with a chronic medical condition, and the challenges of managing diet and exercise.
